These funding programmes have been launched by the Joint Programming Initiative More Years Better Lives (JPI MYBL) and the Active and Assisted Living Programme (AAL) and request projects that are focused on research and ICT-based solutions that are closer to market, respectively.
Joint Programming Initiative More Years Better Lives (JPI MYBL)
Call for proposals: Equality and wellbeing
Equality and Wellbeing across Generations (EWG) is a joint transnational call for proposals. With major demographic change taking place across Europe and Canada, JPI MYBL are inviting researchers to submit proposals that explore:
- How demographic change is altering the implicit contract between generations?
- How policy can ensure that change results in a reduction in inequality?

Active and Assisted Living Programme (AAL)
Call for proposals: Healthy ageing with the support of digital solutions
The aim of the Call is to support innovative, transnational and multi-disciplinary collaborative projects. Call 2020 is characterised by the following approach:
- The AAL Call 2020 is open to developing ICT-based solutions targeting any application area(s) within the AAL domain. The solutions need to be embedded in the strategies of the participating end-user organisations, service providers and business partners.
- The AAL Call 2020 allows for more flexibility regarding the scope, size and duration of the proposed projects (including small collaborative projects).
The AAL domains include solutions for Active Living, such as in work & training, for vitality & abilities, in leisure & culture, for information & communication, as well as for Assisted Living, such as in health & care, living & building, mobility & transport, safety & security.
